You may have attended the inaugural Inclusion Conference in January 2020 – this was a fantastic event, with a range of speakers and themes showcasing work nationally and regionally. The 2021 event is scheduled for 10 March 2021, and will be a virtual conference hosted via Zoom. The theme this year is Allyship which can be defined as “… an opportunity to grow and learn about ourselves, whilst building confidence in others” (Sheree Atcheson, writing for Forbes 2018). Confirmed speakers so far include:
- Charly Young, founder of The Girls Network. Charly will be speaking on the power of mentoring for mentors and mentees
- Annett Magore, Modern Matron, EDI Champion and Freedom to Speak Up Guardian. Annett will be sharing her experiences of allyship within secure mental health services.
If this event is of interest to attend, please hold the time in your diary (10 March, 9am to 1pm), and sign up will be made available via Eventbrite once the agenda is complete.
If this event would be of interest as an opportunity to share some work from your own role (either as a workshop or presentation slot), please contact Debby Whalen on Deborah.firstname.lastname@example.org.
