Who is this event aimed at?.. Trained Coaches who would like to refresh their coaching skills and build their confidence as a coach.

Have you trained as a coach and

  • Feel overwhelmed?
  • Struggle to remember all that learning?
  • Need to refresh your skills?

Knowledge based coach training with its assignments and reflections gives coaches a great theoretical underpinning to their coaching. At the same time, the fear that comes from having to remember questions and models can inhibit coaches’ willingness or confidence.

This session, delivered by 3D Coaching aims to re-inspire people by demonstrating that a few simple tweaks to what you have learned through your coach training can make coaching easier and more transformational.

3D will start the day by finding out what would be useful for participants so that the day meets your needs and will give you what you need as a coach.

The day will begin by developing a coaching contract for the day:

  • What shall we do?
  • How shall we do it?
  • How will we know we have done it today?

While the day will be participant led, it’s likely that the day will include:

  • Contracting for what’s useful
  • A coaching demonstration and demonstrating any other learning points
  • Sharing about simplifying
  • Managing the contract for the session knowing that being clear what we are doing gets us to the heart of what needs to be explored faster and easier
  • Building the Relationship – recognizing that getting on with the work and getting to transformation early on in a conversation can be the most effective way of building trust
  • Enabling Insight and Learning - Looking at creative ways of helping thinkers gain new insights for themselves… and getting the coaches to do less work
  • Moving from listening to noticing – which is more active and more likely to move to awareness
  • Outcome and Action Orientation – asking optimistic and future focused questions
  • Use of Models and Techniques - leaving the models aside unless or until they are necessary or useful
  • Practice coaching in a slightly different way

Whether you feel like a beginner or an experienced coach, there will be some useful learning for you within this session.
