Who is this workshop aimed at?

  • staff with involvement in recruiting staff, currently or in the future
  • staff working within ED&I roles
  • staff working within HR roles
  • staff working within learning & development

The Inclusive Recruitment Workshop has been designed to deepen your understanding of unconscious bias, especially in relation to recruitment processes and decisions we make either individually or collectively throughout the recruitment process.

Many of you will have heard about unconscious bias and indeed may have already been on some bias training before. This will be a practical and enjoyable learning experience, and is designed to give you an understanding of different types of biases and how they can influence the decisions that we all make. It will also give you the opportunity to review your own decision making processes and to examine ‘real’ case studies so that you spot how and where bias occurs. The final part of the workshop will help us understand and review the effectiveness of interventions that are used to enhance fairness in talent management and recruitment process. We end the workshop by reviewing our learning and thinking of strategies that can be employed to help us to de-bias going forward.
