This event helps GMTS programme and placement managers prepare for hosting graduates within their organisation, including a session on Understanding Generational Differences in the Workplace, provided by our associate Clare Mulligan.

The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) identifies, recruits and develops talented individuals who have the potential to become future leaders in the NHS.

Our graduates are valuable resources that bring fresh new perspectives and added value to your organisation, and many are retained across our region at the end of their placements.

Bidding for and hosting a graduate is a large commitment for any organisation, and we value the time and effort all our partners put into the GMTS.

With this in mind, we provide support to ensure placement managers get the most value out of the scheme – from initial bids to host a graduate to placement and graduation.

We run events such as this one that helps programme and placement managers prepare for the bidding process and for hosting graduates within their organisation.

By participating in this event you’ll:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the background of the GMTS and its key elements.
  • Understand the performance monitoring process for the GMTS and how the different elements of the scheme fit into this.
  • Understand what factors make a successful placement.
  • Understand what attributes are essential in programme and placement managers.
  • Understand the key responsibilities of  graduates, programme & placement managers, Local Delivery Partner’s (NHS North East Leadership Academy) and the National Leadership Academy.

Please note: Places are only available for programme and placement managers, and graduates.
