Coaching Masterclass

Here's what happened...

Psychometrics and Diagnostics

There are a myriad of psychometric and diagnostic tools, free and paid, that are used within organisations by OD practitioners and coaches. This masterclass provides an opportunity to find out more about the different tools and explore how they can be used to support your coaching.

During the masterclass you will be introduced to a number of different psychometric and diagnostic tools and consider the appropriate contexts for each, for example:

  • Building self-awareness
  • Making career choices
  • Understanding others
  • Recognising strengths
  • Developing personal effectiveness

You will be encouraged during the masterclass to try out different tools and use them in coaching conversations.

By attending this masterclass you will:

  • Discover a range of psychometric and diagnostic tools to use in your coaching.
  • Appreciate the different contexts in which psychometrics and diagnostics can be used to support coaching conversations.
  • Practice using diagnostic tools in a coaching session.
  • Understand how to access different tools when necessary.
  • Take away free diagnostics to use in your coaching relationships.

 This masterclass is suitable for:

  • Coaches who are looking for fresh ideas for their coaching sessions.
  • Coaches who want to add to their coaching toolkit.
  • Coaches who are interested in coaching as part of their Continuous Professional Development.

The Masterclass will be led by Alison Wheatly from Aspire Development.  Alison is a qualified and experienced coach who looks after NELAs ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring, and provides pragmatic coaching support across the NHS in the North East for coaches, mentors and all leaders who use and advocate a coaching style.

Professional coaching you can trust from the NHS North East Leadership Academy (NELA)

NELA has established a professional coaching community by using experienced practitioners from across the public and private sector. We provide training and development for workplace coaches including ILM 5 Coaching, Coaching Fundamentals, CPD and Master Classes, and Coaching Supervision. Our coaches access two Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions and two supervision sessions per year. Our coaching standards are in line with guidelines set by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and our coaches adhere to the EMCC Code of Ethics.
